Q. Does my business need to be inspected by Marketing Lancashire for me to become a member?
A. Marketing Lancashire do require accommodation provider members to be part of a quality assurance scheme. Marketing Lancashire does not inspect businesses itself. Quality Assurance schemes that Marketing Lancashire accept for membership are:
- VisitEngland’s Accommodation Star Rating Scheme
- The AA’s Accommodation Star Rating Scheme

Q. My business is not accommodation, an attraction or an eating out venue, can I still be a member?
A. Marketing Lancashire do welcome other types of businesses into membership. However, we would want to learn more about your business to ensure membership would meet your requirements. Please contact the membership team on 01772 426 465 or email.
Q. I want to promote my non-tourism business to Marketing Lancashire members, how can you help me? Should I become a member?
A. Membership itself is not an opportunity to promote your business to other members. If you would like to promote your services/products to Marketing Lancashire members please contact the membership team on 01772 426 465 or email.
Q. How long will my membership last?
A. Memberships are initially for 12 months (starting on 1st April). However, on occasion Marketing Lancashire offer special promotional memberships of different lengths. Otherwise, if you are joining at any point in the membership year other than April you will pay a pro-rata rate for that membership year. Memberships are renewed automatically every year. Q. How much is membership?
A. The membership fee you pay is dictated by the type and size of your business.
Q. I have more than one business I want to bring into membership. Do I get a discount?

Q. How do I apply for membership and arrange to pay for my membership?

Q. When will I know that my membership has been accepted?
A. As soon as your application has been processed you will receive a welcome email (with your membership number and login details etc). In addition you will receive your first e-newsletter within a month.
