England’s Northwest is fully committed to playing a full part in the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, creating lasting positive sporting, social and economic benefits in the region.

This 5th annual 2012 conference provides the chance for stakeholders to find out about the many opportunities to benefit from London 2012 as well as celebrating the achievements of our journey to 2012 so far. The event corresponds with Open Weekend 2011 and with little over 1 year to go to the start of the Games it is an important opportunity for stakeholders across the region to start to plan your 2012 and consider the legacy that is being created from London 2012.

The regional plenary session will include keynote presentations from London 2012 and the Northwest 2012 Team. The conference will also include a number of breakout sessions highlighting good practice and opportunities to get involved over the next 12 months across sport, culture, business, volunteering, tourism, and health.
