James Morrison Joins

Blackpool Illuminations Big Switch On Party

Real Radio, Smooth Radio and visitBlackpool are delighted to announce today that James Morrison has been added to The Big Switch On Party line-up for Blackpool Illuminations Switch On on September 2nd .

An international multimillion selling artist, James is renowned for his live performances as well as such modern day classics as; "You Give Me Something", Wonderful World", "You Make It Real" and “Broken Strings" featuring Nelly Furtado.

James joins a fantastic line-up for the Big Switch On Party, the first six of which - Pixie Lott, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs, Paul Carrack, Wonderland and The Overtones, were announced last week. More big names are to follow shortly.

Talking to Parksy on Real Radio Breakfast this morning, James said; “I’m always excited to be playing live, especially at such a big occasion as the Blackpool Illuminations.”

James added that he had been to Blackpool before saying “it’s great!” he added; “The organ player (Richard Milner) from my band is from Blackpool! He brings all the comedy that’s from the place with him.”
