Visit Lancashire is marking the 400 year anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials with a re-launch of the Lancashire witches driving trail and a short break campaign.
TimingThe campaign will run from March – September 2012 Target market45+ couples, ABC1, disposable incomes, takes 2-3 short breaks in the UK annually, lives within a two hour drive time of Lancashire. Interested in a relaxing short break, but also wants to try new experiences and learn new things (Heritage based) during their stay. |

- Trail leaflet – 25,000 copies printed and distributed with Yorkshire Life & Northern Life magazine
- Four e-newsletters sent to 35,000+ opt-in contacts
- Dedicated web page – visitlancashire.com/witches2012
- Additional promotion via visitlancashire.com (which currently gets 100,000 unique visitors on average a month)
- Promotion via social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) to 10,000+ fans using #witches2012
- Press trips and coverage - reaching an audience of over 2 million
- Digital film produced by Visit Britian in May 2012
