The Lancashire and Blackpool Conferences and Meetings Team offer a range of dedicated marketing opportunities to venues and suppliers looking to target this particular market and increase the scope for business tourism within the region.

The team pro-actively encourage members to join the Conference Initiative in order to take advantage of a number of unique marketing opportunities throughout the year which include:

  • Exclusive entry into the Lancashire and Blackpool Conferences and Meetings Directory. With a print run of 7,500, it is distributed at a number of national conferences and exhibitions, as well as being used to fulfil conference and meeting enquiries. It has a shelf life of two years and is produced in stunning full colour A4 format.
  • Entry on lancashireandblackpoolconference.com, with details of your venue/services and a hyperlink to your own website. There will also be a downloadable version of the conference guide available online to perspective buyers.
  • Conference and meeting enquiries direct from Lancashire and Blackpool's Venue Finding Service. In 2006/07 over 700 enquiries were received . Only those venues within the Directory received details of these enquiries via the Conference Team.
  • Additional opportunities include invites to networking events, the opportunity to attend the region's bi-annual showcase, inclusion in e-newsletters co-ordinated by the Conference Team and quarterly updates on marketing activity and venue enquiries

In addition to the above, the Lancashire and Blackpool Conference Team continue to attend key exhibitions, take part in on-going telemarketing and print campaigns and work in partnership with the British Association of Conference Destinations (BACD) and the Northwest Regional Research Unit (NWRRU). The team co-ordinate a number of buyer and press familiarisation trips throughout the year and contribute to trade and industry publications on a national and regional level.
