Projects & Funding
The Bowland Tourism & Environment Fund (BTEF) is a visitor payback scheme operating within the Forest of Bowland AONB. The initiative encourages visitors to help protect the area by making a donation. All donations directly fund environmental projects within the AONB.
Lancashire's Rural Tourism initiative was a three-year coordinated funding programme specifically for the support of rural tourism businesses in Lancashire.

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board has teamed up with Made In Lancashire and Quality in Tourism to produce a new quality award scheme for eating establishments.
All areas that impact on the quality of the visitor experience are included in the assessment, ranging from the enquiry through to the departure. The assessment will recognise areas that may be unique as well as common areas.
These schemes highlight operators that provide facilities or services to welcome certain groups. These assessments must be completed with an annual Quality in Tourism assessment visit and a small annual fee applies.
