Lancashire Hot Shots

Would you like to showcase your restaurant?

Do you have a talented young chef under the age of 25?

Would you allow them to take over your kitchen for one night?

These are the questions we posed to restaurants in Lancashire.

Having gained the Taste Lancashire accreditation and to celebrate our fabulous food culture Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board have designated 2008 as'Taste Lancashire 08 - the year of food and drink'developed in partnership with Liverpool's European Capital of Culture.

During this period LBTB will be involved in various food and drink initiatives and Lancashire Hot Shots is designed to profile young chefs already working in the industry, showing how talented individuals have progressed, generally at an early age.

The format is simple.

• The young chef is allowed to take over the kitchen for the evening
• Devise and cook a 3 course menu for £15 per person.
• The event will be promoted using the local media, showcasing both the chef and their menu and inviting the public to book a table by LBTB
