It will do this through its Board of Directors, through working with existing forum leaders including the Leaders and Chief Executive Officers Group and the Lancashire Chief Cultural and Lesiure Officers Group to ensure engagement with all sectors including transport, cultural, sporting and heritage interests.
LBTB will participate fully in the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP), contributing to the development of the Lancashire Economic Strategy (LES) Sub Regional Action Plan 2006 - 2009 and ensuring that connections are made with other economic sectors. In particular the LES has established a set of six strategic headline economic priorities - three spatial and three thematic - with the following five relevant to the sub- region's visitor economy:-
The Board will also strengthen its Business Forums and continue to work closely with tourism associations to ensure full engagement across the spectrum of the industry.
