Visitor Economy Strategy

  • Northwest Regional Economic Strategy

The Visitor Economy Strategy (VES) 2006 - 2016 outlines the principles and priorities that influence our approach to destination management and development.

The Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) is committed to:

  • Building and sustaining confident, committed and prosperous businesses.
  • Investing in quality in every aspect of the visitor economy.
  • Improving and raising the profile of the area.
  • Ensuring that people living and working in the sub-region appreciate and benefit from the contribution that the industry makes to the quality of life.
  • Ensuring that the visitor economy is integrated with regeneration and economic development policies and strategies.

The VES is supported by a three year action plan (2006 - 2009) which details how LBTB will deliver this vision.
